I earned my previous degrees in Diplomacy and International Affairs from Baku State University and Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, both with honors. I am also an alumnus of the George C. Marshall Center for Security Studies’ program on applied security studies. I served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Regional Security Department and Khazar University, School of Political Science and International Relations. I had internship in the Atlantic Council of the US, Eurasia Center in Washington DC. I was also engaged in co-leading a start-up company in the sphere of agriculture in Azerbaijan. Through the MPP program I aim to acquire practical knowledge and skills for the elaboration of public policies that would lead to further progress, economic diversification and sustainable development of my country. Alongside with my research interests in foreign, security and energy policies, I am interested in development policies for the post-Soviet and oil-reliant countries.
