I believe we can create better urban growth policy by drawing on new technological and financial tools, historical diligence, and avoiding dichotomies between top down and bottom up, developed and emerging markets, and public and private approaches. I am unsure if I can best contribute at a local level in the United States, at an international level, or somewhere between. I worked for the City of New York in housing then in a new division in City Planning. Google recruited me for a team that we built into an ambitious urban technology company, Sidewalk Labs. I seek to spend my year learning policy tools and frameworks, and I have a personal focus on better understanding international urban growth. I admire the work Paul Collier has been doing, hope to take an active part in Oxford’s urbanist community, and am immensely looking forward to my studies at Blavatnik.

Unfortunately we have no publications to display at present for this person.
