Angus is interested in money laundering and corruption, and how digital methods can be used to prevent both. His research will first focus on beneficial ownership policy in emerging economies, under the supervision of Professor Emily Jones. For the past two years he worked on the Foreign Office's Global Anti-Corruption Programme, supporting the Indonesian, Malaysian and South African Governments. Angus is pressing on with learning Bahasa Indonesia and hopes to meet people to practice with in Oxford. Having been in the UK Civil Service since graduating, Angus is looking forward to being part of an international policy community at the Blavatnik School.
