Jobs FAQs

What happens to my application once it is submitted?

You should receive an automated email from e-Recruitment to confirm that we’ve received your application. We will always try to review applications shortly after the specific role closing date but sometimes there are some delays. If your application meets our selection criteria, we will invite you to attend an interview.

When will I find out if I have been successful?

After the advertised closing date we aim to let you know the outcome of your application as quickly as possible. If we have a high numbers of applications to review this may take us a little longer than usual. Even if it takes us a little while, we’ll always let you know.

Can I get feedback if my application is unsuccessful?

We appreciate the time and effort put into your application and that if you are not shortlisted you may find feedback useful. However, we receive a high number of applications for each vacancy and, regrettably, we do not have the resources to offer feedback to applicants who are not shortlisted for interview. If you attend an interview or complete an assessment and you would like feedback, we’ll happily provide it.

Can I apply for more than one position?

Providing you meet the required selection criteria of the role (as stated in the advert), we are happy for you to apply for more than one vacancy.

What will the recruitment process involve?

If shortlisted, most vacancies would involve a two part selection process which may also include a work based assessment and/or task usually undertaken on the same day as your interview, directly prior to the interview. Details of any tasks or tests will be provided to you if you are invited for interview.

How is the interview conducted?

All interviews are conducted by a panel who have received training in the University's recruitment and selection procedures, ensuring all candidates are given equality of opportunity during the interview process.

Do you have onsite visitor parking?
