Job: Academic Admissions Assessor

The Blavatnik School of Government educates students from around the world on its one-year Master of Public Policy (MPP) programme. Admitting outstanding students to this programme is a key priority for the School. Each year we receive a huge number of applications and we are hiring Academic Admissions Assessors to work alongside our faculty to ensure that the best students are selected.

Assessors will participate in training, complete up to 200 hours of assessment, and attend a number of meetings to discuss verdicts and judgments. Training will take place in November and December 2019, with extensive work taking place between 10 January and 2 March 2020.

Assessors are expected to have academic experience in a university context or similar. Having a doctorate, particularly in an area relevant to public policy (eg philosophy, economics, political science or law), would also be an advantage.

Assessors will be paid at the rate of £21.94 per hour (the hourly rate for grade 8.2).

Further details of the role and the selection criteria can be found in the job description.

Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter that makes clear how you meet our selection criteria (both documents to be saved with your name as the filename) to recruit@bsg.ox.ac.uk.

The closing date for applying is noon on Monday 30 September 2019.
