Reporting to the Executive Director of the PeopleGov Lab, the postholder will provide research support across the breadth of the Lab, contribute to the design of research materials and data gathering, and undertake comprehensive and systematic literature reviews. They will contribute to research publications, book chapters and reviews, liaise with and work directly with partners, and contribute to discussions and share research findings with colleagues in partner institutions and research groups. They will also help manage research workshops and conferences, represent the research group at external meetings/seminars, promote the Lab externally to senior stakeholders, and support the day-to-day administration of the Lab’s research.
The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, together with some relevant experience, and possess sufficient knowledge on qualitative and quantitative analysis. They will have the ability to manage their own research and administrative activities, and prioritise their own time against a diverse array of research activities. They should have experience working directly in partnership with government agencies, or on research products for policymakers, and be a self-starter, with the ability to use initiative and work collaboratively. Excellent communications skills and a strong belief in the mission of the PeopleGov Lab are also essential. This post is fixed-term until 31 July 2022. Grade 6: £29,176 – £30,942 p.a.
