Reporting to the Head of IT and AV, the post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and monitoring of the Blavatnik School’s IT infrastructure, with a particular focus on the network infrastructure. They will provide management and planning support to the Head of IT and AV, and work with the rest of the team as part of the overall ICT Service desk, covering simple issues from time to time, and regularly investigating more complex incidents. The post holder will be expected to show flexibility and support occasional planned out-of-hours working to support IT change and other operational needs by agreement with the Head of IT and AV.
The successful candidate must hold a good first degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or have equivalent experience. They will have experience in managing network hardware, operating systems, and supplier relationships. They will also have a demonstrable working knowledge of Windows server technologies, and practical and theoretical understanding of typical network technologies. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrable experience of prioritising workload and working to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet targets are also essential.
This post is fixed-term for three years.
