Job: Development Officer

As the world faces a grave period of geopolitical uncertainty governments must also take action on climate change, conflict, and economic instability. The Blavatnik School of Government is a global school committed to improving the quality of government and public policymaking worldwide.

We seek a collaborative and pro-active individual to play a key role in the next phase of our growth. This is a varied and dynamic role providing vital support to the Director of Development and the development team at the School.

The Development Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the work of the development team. You will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating key milestones of the team’s complex work plan, which includes monitoring fundraising goals, planning for meetings and events, and setting and maintaining the systems and procedures for managing data and gift processes within the team. You will have primary responsibility for the Development team’s input into the University’s fundraising database (DARS). You will support the team with prospect research and due diligence to maximise philanthropic income.

A successful candidate should possess strong writing, grammar, and editing skills, along with a high level of professionalism and self-motivation. With a keen eye for detail and a flexible can-do approach, you will have first-rate organisational, IT and interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner. A good general level of education, including a degree or equivalent, and experience in providing a high level of administrative support to senior colleagues are also essential.
