The School’s development team is recruiting for a Development Manager who is a skilful communicator with a passion for bringing about change through philanthropic income.
The primary responsibility of the Development Manager will be to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors who are able to make high-value gifts. The postholder will develop new donor relationships and build on existing ones, whilst playing a key part in advancing the School’s development needs and external relations.
The post is ideally suited for enthusiastic individuals with excellent relationship building skills, likely to have been gained in a complex environment and seeking to further a career in fundraising.
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong influencing and relationship-building skills, and the confidence, sensitivity and awareness to deal with high-profile individuals. With excellent attention and a flexible can-do approach, you will be a strategic thinker and have demonstrable experience of prioritising workload and working to tight deadlines. A good first degree, IT skills, and previous experience of working in a fundraising environment are also essential.
