Santiago Rosas


I am an Economist from Venezuela (UCAB, Caracas) with a Diploma in History of Venezuela and an MPA from IESA (Venezuela) and political activist with experience both at NGO (Transparency International, Venezuelan chapter) as well as the public sector in areas of transparency, budgeting, planning and citizen security. Also, experience as an activist against human rights violations and in electoral processes. I also have a Human Rights monthly column at a national newspaper.

 My current focus are on transforming public institutions, managing economic volatility in emerging economies and citizen securities. Key policy interest in how to deal with effective transitions from autocrathic governments to stable democracy in highly violent countries with commodities.

Currently working as Managing Director at El Hatillo´s Police, one of the five polices in the most violent city of the world: Caracas.
